Minerva Institute for Research and Scholarship is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt entity that operates Minerva Schools at KGI, in collaboration with KGI, the KGI President, and its governing board. As noted in the section on Accreditation, Minerva Institute will become the home of Minerva University when WSCUC grants it accreditation separate from KGI.
Minerva Institute is governed by a Board of Trustees, a group of diverse, accomplished, and highly recognized leaders in their fields. This governing board is responsible for the oversight of finances and academic quality, ensuring that Minerva University thrives and fulfills its mission of Nurturing Critical Wisdom for the Sake of the World.
“Our ambition for Minerva is huge. We are working to prepare tomorrow’s global leaders for a world that desperately needs men and women who can think critically and creatively, who can communicate and work with others, and who are brave enough to tell us the truth rather than what we want to hear.”
Bob Kerrey, Chairman of the Board
Former U.S. Senator
